SCHOOL CLOSURE ACTIVITIES
Fire Service visit
Year One have have been having a great time investigating materials. We made traffic light play dough (very malleable! ) for our friends in Nursery and tried to make a waterproof shelter for teddy.
The teachers in Year One were so proud of the children last week when Father Chris came to celebrate mass in the Busy Bee classroom. All the children participated with reverence and answered questions during the homily. We feel very blessed!
Tree of Trust
As part of our SCiB (Safeguarding Children in Banbury) we have been thinking about people in our lives who keep us safe.
This is Year One's Tree of Trust.
National Road Safety Week
Year 1 took a trip to the library this morning.
As this is National Road Safety Week, we took the opportunity to look for crossings and road signs. On our return we will write a retrospective risk assessment and design a road safety poster.
This term half of the children have had the opportunity to attend Forest School with Mr. Pemble and Ms. Vale. As you can see they had a great time and learned new skills. Next term the other half of the class will get their turn, but we do need parental consent. On Forest School days the children MUST bring in wellington boots, hats, scarves and gloves or they will not go. They leave promptly so it will be not be possible to ring home or to rush around borrowing missing items. Taking responsibility for having the right kit is one of the many important lessons to be learned at Forest School.
