Early Years Teddy Bears Picnic
The Early Years Children went to the park in the last week of term for our teddy bears picnic. We all had a wonderful time playing in the park and then had a picnic with our special people. Here are some photos of our time together!
Drama Workshop
On Tuesday 5th and Wednesday 6th March, we welcomed in Mrs Mills from Cherwell Theatre group. She came into school to help us explore our shared text, ‘The Promise,’ through drama. Each class took part in a workshop and learnt a part of the story before dramatizing it. On Wednesday afternoon, the whole school gathered together to showcase their work.
It was clear from all the smiles, noise and fantastic performances that everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves! We hope to invite Cherwell Theatre group back to come and lead some after school drama sessions.
Christmas Crafts Morning
We held our annual Christmas Crafts morning on Friday 30th November and the school was a hive of activity with many parents joining us.
Reading Cafe
We had the first Reading Cafe on Wednesday 10th October and we will be holding the reading cafe every month in the hall, all the books are free to read or take home and we love donations of books! Tea, coffee, squash and biscuits are available too! The Reading Café will be open to all our families who would like to sit and read or share a story during that time. Books will be provided from our Big Book Swap and there will also be a range of books for adults and topic books that can be read and/or taken free of charge.
The PTA will be selling refreshments – teas, coffees, squash and biscuits for 20p and you are welcome to enjoy the books in the hall or make your selection and take them home.
Also, on Wednesday 17th October we would like to invite families to share a story with us in the school hall from 3:05-3:30pm. The story will be linked to our Citizens of the Week theme, “World Religions”.
If you would like to make donations of books to the Big Book Swap at any time this year please just bring your books to the Year 4 classroom!
We hope to see you there!
